That’s what I see in my backyard in Cariboo Region, British Columbia, Canada.

The snow will stay on the ground until April, then it will get warm quite suddenly and everything will thaw and melt. And then my basement will flood.

We love to have big fires in our yard. A few weeks ago a big 100 foot tall spruce tree fell over, so we had to burn it. A neighbour came over, and we had vodka.

Fire and no people

I had a Caesar, which is vodka with clamato juice (juice from clams and tomatoes), celery salt, and either a celery stalk or a pickled green bean. Describing it, it sounds awful, but it does taste quite nice.

Notice: Russian Standard vodka. This is a product that is new to Canada only starting last month. It was almost sold out of the liquor store.
