The Taganai National Park in South Ural in Russia. Between Europe and Asia. Photo by Ivan Dementievsky.
Published initially on the Facebook page “Russia. Travel across the country.” This is an amazing online place, where you can enjoy the fascinating & beautiful nature photographs of the world’s biggest country. Btw, there are many “cold” pictures on it as well.
The story of creating this post is not ended. When I uploaded the magic photo of the Europe-Asia border, I shared the link with Ivan Dementievsky. Asked him, whether he had his own website and more pictures of South Ural to show on the Cold United blog and…
WOW!
He appears to be very active online. Moreover, he is a big fan of photo journeys. The funny thing is that when I and my friends-photographers were traveling to Oymyakon (see the Journey to the Pole of Cold posts), Ivan with his own friends did the same adventure, but on the way to the snowy universe of the Taganai National Park in Russia’s South Ural. It was in January 2010.
On his own LiveJournal-based blog Ivan published the amazing travel report on his winter trip. In Russian, certainly. Below see winter photographs.
